Share Your eBay Collections & You Could Win $25K

Design Milk

The following post is brought to you by eBay. Our partners are hand-picked by the Design Milk team because they represent the best in design. Ill be honest. For a while there, I kind of forgot about eBay. OK, not completely?I buy a lot of bulk shipping supplies on there. But, for some reason I didnt think about it as a place for design. Boy, was I wrong. I started creating some eBay collections and fond myself sucked into the biggest, deepest internet rabbit hole ever. I started with only 3 collections and it quickly exploded to 12! I cant help myself. I even created a vintage Christmas collection to get me inspired for decorating my tree when were in our house next year. I had no idea how many vintage decorations Id discover, but its like hitting the retro-ornament-aluminum-tree lottery. I think my favorite find is this reproduction art of the cool cat pieces in Pete Campbells apartment on Mad Men. A little pricey, but hey?its original art. My favorite collection is probably either the Memphis or Vignelli. Only because its not easy to find these things anywhere else, especially pieces original to that time period like vintage Heller plate sets or an Ettore Sottsass signature design. And, I couldnt help but look for some vintage MCM goodness and modern design icons over there, too (including that vintage Nelson clock pictured above). The other thing I love about it is that you can still find some of your favorite sold out designer collaborations from HM, Anthropologie or Target. For example, Im stalking this Marni for HM necklace right now one day, it will be mine. Oh yes, it will be mine. The best part about creating these collections is that eBay is giving away $25,000 YES I said $25,000! Use the sharing buttons to share your collections and they will be entered for a chance to win $1,000 weekly cash prizes and a $25,000 grand prize. More info here (sweepstakes ends 12/31/13).
